The software is very easy to use. Most of the functions
shown in the menu are self-explanatory. In addition,

1. What is the system requirements?
Answer:
A server (shared web hosting is fine) that supports
PHP 4.1 or above, MYSQL database Version 3.x or above,
and allows you to upload files.

do I need to be a computer professional?

No. You only need to know how to upload/download files.
A friendly installer will guide you to complete installation
within minutes. We also offer a detailed installation

in server (e.g. using the command chmod in Unix/Linux
environment), you may download a FTP client like WSFTP
Light version (free).
3. What is MYSQL Access Host?
Answer:
Usually, the name is called localhost. If not, you
should contact your web hosting company for details.
4. In installation guide, it seems that there are
many parameters to set? Do I need to study it?
Answer:
Well, you are always encouraged to study the installation
guide and user guide thoroughly. But for the software
parameters, we already preset many default values
to you. It simplifies your setup, and your software
can still run good. Therefore, you only need to set
a few parameter only.
Of course, you can change those parameters over time
to fullfill your specific needs.
5. After installation, I cannot access the administration
panel. Instead, I see a statement about code encoding.
Why?
Answer:
This problem will not appear in the latest version, and only applies to earlier version.
Please check and act with the following suggestions:
1. Please make sure you upload all files stored
under folder name "ixed" using binary mode (assume you use FTP software).
2. Ask your web host to turn SAFE MODE to Off status, and enable_dl() to On status.
3. In addition, you web hosting
company may not support the decoding. You should contact
your web host to write a command line to their PHP
configuration file php.ini:
extension=ixed.xxx.y.y.y.pxp
"xxx" is "win" for Windows, "lin"
for Linux and "fre" for FreeBSD;
"y.y.y" is version of PHP your web host
has.

1. What does it happen when trial period is ended?
Answer:
When trial period is ended, users cannot login to
the administration screen, and visitors cannot add
links. Instead, an email will notify users that someone
is trying to exchange link with you but they cannot
do this because of expired licence.
When you receive this notification, it means that
you should buy an official licence because you really
have link exchange partners trying to exchange links
with you. Therefore, purchasing the software can help
you!

the link Forgot password.

It is a function for you to control what anchor text
people are using to describe your website. It enables
you to make sure people are using the right text to
link to you. It does not only positively affect your
branding, but also improve your search engine ranking
a bit.

3. Can your software query the search engine, extract
email addresses and then help me to send out link
exchange request?
Answer:
No. This is because Automate Link Exchange™ is
not a tool for spamming. By doing so, you can easily
get your site banned by your web host, and by search
engines. In fact, some places regard spamming as illegal
activity and commit to spamming can be sued and penalized.
If you like a site and want to exchange link with
its¦ webmaster, you can make use of the self-Add function and
send them a polite, customized email request. The
tool can save you time by providing some convenient
features.
4. What languages does your software support?
Answer:
Virtually, all languages can be shown in the link
page properly. Therefore, non-English sites can still
use our software. In addition, you can customize the
menu by using your own language. To do so, just access
the Language Editor under Site Editor.
5. How do you check whether link partners are linking
to us or not?
Answer:
Our software has a link checker. According to your
pre-defined timeline, the software will do the checking
automatically. You do not need to trigger it.
6. Can I use Cron job to schedule the automatic link
checker?
Answer:
Yes, you can. Just trigger the script execute_periodical.php.
It is stored in the software directory. After that,
you may remove the command tag %PeriodicalFileIncludeHere%
in the link page templates.
6. Can I import my existing link pages to your software?
Answer:
Yes, you can import them one by one via the Function
Old Links.
7. How to customize the look-and-feel of my link
pages?
Answer:
You can refer to the user guide and the instructions
written in the templates provided.
8. Can I add my preferred links into the link directory
even other webmasters may not want to link with me?
Answer:
Yes, you can make use of the Self-Add link function.
As a matter of fact, some users may even add their
affiliate links. For any links already exist in the
database, you can simply remove the corresponding
reciprocal link by using the Link Editor and the link
will appear in your link directory forever unless
you delete it.
